Emergency Management

Working in the context of ‘all hazards’ and ‘all consequences’ FLEXOR can assist with capability development across a broad spectrum of emergency and disaster management functions.  This includes facilitating risk management, planning, exercising, preparedness and readiness for response and recovery.  FLEXOR is also strongly orientated towards building resilience at all levels to enhance the capacity of organisations to adapt to emergency risk challenges.  Other emergency management services include business continuity management, lessons management and evaluations.  FLEXOR supports the ongoing development of emergency management doctrine and associated reform processes.  Clients will benefit from FLEXOR’s advice and leadership experience gained through many years working across agencies, departments and with business, industry and community groups.

Security Risk Management

 

The risks associated with terrorism continue to grow as the threat evolves and mutates.  The likelihood of a specific type and magnitude of terrorist attack in Australia is difficult to determine but the potential consequences need to be understood and planned for.  More importantly, preventive security risk management efforts are important to mitigate any potential threats.  Key FLEXOR staff have experience in working with military, police, law enforcement agencies and government departments to address the risk of terrorism.  FLEXOR services include providing advice to enhance security risk management as well as assessments and reviews of plans, procedures, sites and facilities.  Designing and managing exercises is also core to capability development.
